Once inside Banff National Park a small group can go almost anywhere for a wedding ceremony outside. Natalie and I will help you choose a location that is not only beautiful, but has access to parking, washrooms, and seasonal access. We are now concentrating on more specific areas around Banff or out in the back country to avoid over-crowding and parking issues.
The immediate Banff area is full of ideal locations for small wedding events of 20 persons or less. Larger groups require site reservations and planning in advance.
My specialty is small groups, in intimate locations, preferably outside. “Exclusive use” of a location is granted when it is rented from the Town of Banff or is on private land. One of the great advantages of a Banff location is that there are rarely power lines obstructing the background.
Some local favourites are: the Cascade Gardens; Central Park, the Vermilion Lakes and the Hoodoo Viewpoint. For the more adventurous, my favourite locations are alpine lakes and mountain tops.
If you’re planning on getting married on a holiday weekend, we recommend a helicopter, hiking/skiing or ranch wedding to avoid the heavy traffic in the Banff townsite.
The Banff Registry can assist you in arranging your Marriage License. It is possible to obtain your Marriage License and be married on the same day, but why not savour the moment and spend at least a few days in the spectacular Banff surroundings. There is so much to do!
